Hollie Cooke, Horseman

& Prince Fatty

Tickets will be available on the door on the night.

'Hollie Cook has been on a lot of people’s lists as 'one to watch' for her style of laid-back but haunting reggae. A pleasure to see live.'- The Upcoming

'After releasing her self-titled debut album — one of the most enjoyable and heart-rendering contemporary reggae albums in recent years — Hollie Cook has firmly become one of our favourite new musicians.' – Beatnik

The daughter of famed Sex Pistol Drummer Paul Cook, she has been described by many in the media as tropical pop – a mixture of pop and reggae with Lily Allen-esque lyrics, but her music feels so much more. Uplifting and heartfelt, it oozes a sense of much needed sunshine as if from some distance tropical destination. The legendary Prince Fatty adds heavy bass and reverb texture to Hollie’s beautiful, captivating vocals.

Hollie recently supported The Stone Roses at Manchester’s Heaton Park and was also featured recently on Later with Jools Holland.
She comes from rock royalty. Her mum, Jeni Cook was part of Culture Club and her godparents are Boy George and Steve Jones. Cook’s career began early, singing on the Slits’ EP Revenge of the Killer Slits; before her breakthrough singing lead vocals on the hit reggae song 'Milk and Honey,'which featured on the US TV program Grey’s Anatomy. Hollie will be accompanied by Prince Fatty on the turntables, with MC Horseman MC-ing the night.
